This project revolved around creating a logo identity. I’ve always wanted to design a logo for a zoo so I had a lot of fun brainstorming for this design. After deciding on a name, I went through the process of creating number of thumbnails until I settled on this mark for the logo. The mark is exotic and provokes a sense of adventure. The concept behind the mark is to show close relationship between nature and animals. As seen in the leaf and eye of the cat. Color choice was pretty strait forward. It was just a matter of finding the right hue of greens. When it came to the style guide, I wanted to incorporate some of my own illustrations that were inviting to younger audiences but could still look professional. I drew the illustrations of the animals by hand and then traced them in illustrator. I took inspiration from other zoos and organizations like National Geographic.
